AFFORDABILITY - Commbank PROPERTY APP

Financial transparency and understanding is paramount when purchasing the first home. The redesign of the Commbank Property app to assist people embarking on the first steps to the home loan journey.

PROBLEM STATEMENT  

  • Customers make decisions on property choices with limited guidance and tools;

  • without full transparency of the costs

  • without a realistic understanding of their own budgets.

  • Increase home loan pre- approvals by helping find appropriate properties

  • Be a responsible bank by disclosing all costs in the home loan journey

ROLE

  • Affordability research findings for first home buyers

  • Competitor analysis

  • Heuristic evaluations

  • Sketching flows using Sketch and Invision

  • Prototyping for Usability testing X 10 sessions

  • Devise final screens with UI designer

RESULTS

  • Contributed to the 5.4% increase in lead generation opportunities across channels

  • Increased OHL conversion rate of customers on mobile/tablet devices from 2% to 25%
